Your first visit, made easy.
New to TLC? Here is exactly what to expect, what to bring, and how we keep your first appointment calm and clear. Most new patients are seen within the week.
What to expect, from first call to follow-up.
Whether you are booking a cleaning or considering implants, the experience follows the same four steps. No surprises.

The first call
We answer the phone, listen to what brought you in, and book the right kind of appointment, not just the next open slot.

Comprehensive exam
Digital scans, full charting, intraoral photos, and a real conversation about what you have been putting off and why.

Your options, plainly
You get more than one option, you get a written estimate for each, and you know what happens if you do nothing.

Treatment & beyond
Care continues after you leave, with follow-ups and a hygiene cadence built around your life.
A few things to bring.
Your insurance details
Bring your plan information so we can verify coverage and direct bill most major Canadian insurers on the spot.
A list of concerns
Anything that has been bothering you, plus any medications you take. The more we know, the better we plan.
Past records, if handy
Recent X-rays or treatment history help, but they are not required. We can take fresh digital scans here.
About an hour, well spent.
A new-patient exam runs about 60 minutes. It includes digital X-rays, an intraoral scan, full charting, and a conversation about your goals. You leave with a clear plan and a written estimate, not a sales pitch. If you feel anxious about dental visits, tell us when you book and we will build the appointment around your comfort, including sedation if you want it.
New-patient questions.
